I as called down at 6:30 am with the ominous warning: “I want you to look at something.” It was the furnace thermostat and it was reading: ‘System Malfunction. Call technician.’ Chaos ensued. This had to mean trouble. I looked through my furnace notes to find someone to call. I had worked with MHC Home Comfort, Dundas Street, Cooksville, in the past for furnace problems and had been satisfied with their work however, they didn’t open for business until 9 am and the temperature of the house was already starting to fall. Other home heating and air conditioning companies had emergency numbers. On a whim, I dialed the MHC business number at 7:15 am and, to my happy surprise, Roya answered the phone. Yes, she could help and could have someone here between 10 and noon – would that be alright? I said ‘as soon as possible would be ideal’ but agreed and we left it at that. At 9:45 am Matthew arrived, quickly assessed a broken heat exchanger - a not uncommon problem with this furnace - and shut down the furnace for safety reasons. Fix it or replace the 14-year-old Carrier Infinity LCS Ultra Efficient Furnace, Matthew seemed pretty fair in giving us a balanced view of our options, rebates available, other costs and timing. We agreed to replace the furnace with a comparable Carrier model because of the age of the furnace, the trade-in allowance provided and because it could be installed starting late that afternoon as opposed to at least a day’s delay for replacing the heat exchanger. It is painful to note that our previous furnace, although incredibly inefficient, lasted 36 years. Mohammed and assistant, Pouyan, arrived at 2:15 pm as the house temperature dropped to about 15 °C. The old furnace was removed, the new furnace installed and the place cleaned up by 6:45 pm – within the 4-5 hours Matthew predicted. Matthew returned to help with and give us instructions on the new thermostat and then, thankfully, the house began to warm up for the first time that day. We rate this experience for a major, mid-winter HVAC problem with MHC as a very good experience. All company personnel are very nice to deal with, are qualified to do this work and seem to genuinely focus on the customer – something that has sometimes gone out of style with businesses currently. On Dec 23rd I had to replace my furnace. I called MHC Comfort. They were priced fairly and the the replacement in a professional manner on the same day. I really appreciate the great service.

We had a great overall experience with Mississauga Home Comfort from start to finish. Great prices and service. Ray was very helpful in purchasing our new Napolean 62" linear gas fireplace and getting it installed. MHC demo'd our old traditional wood burning fireplace and installed the new gas one. We had a small issue where the protective mesh screen had a defect from the factory but Ray was able to get us a new one from Napolean. Next time I need another fireplace, I know who to call. I would not hesitate to do business again.

Matthew came to repair our air conditioner that was not cooling properly. He resolved the problem quickly, He also cleaned our unit outside which had a blanket of dust attached to it. I would definitely recommended MHC and Matthew for any repairs.

Matthew the service repair person was excellent. He repaired our condominium fireplace that was making noise and it’s humming along perfectly and at a reasonable cost. Very careful, great technical knowledge of the Montigo fireplace, and extremely helpful and kind to my wife who he helped move a mirror to get to the motor and made sure not to scratch floors or damage any furniture. A true professional.

Excellent sales service by Eric. He helped us from start to finish as I was doing most of the work myself. I visited the showroom several times to see installation details and had great cooperation. Shopped around and got the best deal at MHC for our 40" Regency City Series by far. One of the few places with good inventory of fireplaces, including ones that can be lit to see the flame, and media options. Roy was helpful and easy to work with. Highly recommended to deal with MHC

My wife Grace & I cannot thank Matthew & his assistant enough for the great work they performed on our Regency fireplace. Matthew & his assistant came back to our house at 6pm in the evening that same day as promised and worked until 10pm that night completing the inspection & repairs to our fireplace and putting a tag on our fireplace to certify proper installation (which our renovation contractor who installed our fireplace did not even know was required). Matthew & his assistant were very professional & competent, and they did a great job fixing & cleaning our Regency fireplace, making it look brand new. Also wish to thank Roya for her great assistance & fantastic service. We would not hesitate to recommend MHC Home Comfort, and particularly Matthew & Roya, to family friends, friends, and anyone looking to install a gas fireplace or have theirs serviced.

Although Matthew and I had a small argument and had to change the appointment few times due to weather conditions, he did wonderful job and fixed our Valor fireplace. The fireplace is working fine now and I am very happy and satisfied with the service he provided. I do recommend MHC Home Comfort.

Matthew is the guy for your job. I had another Napoleon dealer from Burlington come and inspect my Napoleon gas stove (it was leaking gas), and I was told that I need to throw the whole thing out and install and new stove (cost $5000+). I went for second opinion and called MHC. Matthew came and diagnosed the issue. I had the parts ordered in store and Matthew came again to fix it up. The thing works great now - no more gas smells. I highly recommend them. In store experience for ordering the parts was also smooth. Suggestion to MHC: I was expecting that the charge for initial house call will be adjusted later on since I got the whole thing fixed by MHC but they dont do that (bit of a bummer). But overall, reasonable prices and main thing is that it is working now. PS: My earlier review had incorrect name for Matthew
